What they need

Lead People. Drive Production. Build a Stronger Team.

We're looking for a hands-on, people-focused 2nd Shift Production Supervisor who knows how to lead a team, manage daily manufacturing operations, and keep production moving safely and efficiently.

At Permian Plastics, we believe successful production starts with strong leadership. We're looking for someone who can develop employees, communicate expectations, solve problems, and create an environment where people are accountable, supported, and working toward the same goals.

You don't have to be the best Process Technician in the building. You do need to understand injection molding operations, know how to lead people, and take ownership of your shift.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Lead and Develop Your Team

  • Provide clear direction, expectations, and accountability for employees across your shift.
  • Coach, train, and develop employees to improve performance, skills, and teamwork.
  • Address performance and behavioral concerns promptly, fairly, and professionally.
  • Build a positive, respectful work environment where employees understand their responsibilities.
  • Lead by example through consistent communication, sound judgment, and follow-through.

Own Your Shift's Operations

  • Coordinate staffing, work assignments, and production priorities to meet daily goals.
  • Monitor production output, quality, efficiency, and equipment performance.
  • Work closely with Process Technicians, Quality, Material Handlers, and other support personnel to resolve production issues.
  • Ensure proper materials, packaging, labeling, and production procedures are followed.
  • Identify problems, make informed decisions, and escalate technical or operational concerns when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate important information between shifts.

Drive Safety, Quality, and Accountability

  • Promote and enforce safe work practices and company policies.
  • Ensure employees follow established procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and strengthen team performance.
  • Take responsibility for the results of your shift — including the people, processes, and production outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Leadership Comes First.

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Strong people leadership: Experience supervising, coaching, and holding manufacturing employees accountable.
  • Manufacturing knowledge: A solid understanding of injection molding equipment, production processes, and common operational challenges.
  • Operational ownership: The ability to manage staffing, production priorities, workflow, and shift performance.
  • Communication skills: The ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively across departments and shifts.
  • Problem-solving ability: Someone who can assess situations, make decisions, and involve the right resources when needed.
  • Consistency and follow-through: A leader who sets expectations, follows up, and addresses issues rather than allowing them to continue.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in injection molding.
  • Previous manufacturing supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of injection molding machines, production processes, and manufacturing safety.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple production priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift, including overtime as operational needs require.
  • Forklift training/certification and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Advanced injection molding processing expertise is not required. We value candidates who understand the manufacturing process and can effectively lead the technical and production resources available to them.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Shift Supervisor doesn't just keep machines running. They build a team that performs.

They communicate expectations, address problems, support employee development, maintain safe operations, and ensure production goals are achieved without compromising quality.

If you're a manufacturing leader who takes pride in developing people, solving problems, and running a successful shift, we'd like to hear from you.

Rate of Pay: Starting $30 per hour
