Plastics Process Technician - All Shifts

Process Technician will have daily responsibilities to include ensuring compliance with safety/ environmental policies while also responsible for setting up the molding machines to the defined process and part specification while minimizing scrap and down time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with injection molding machines, keeping the production floor running efficiently
• Audit process parameters and implement changes as appropriate to improve cycle times
• Complete all required paperwork daily
• Maintain and update a process log and set-up info in mold book for each tool
• Performing mold and/or material changes as dictated by the schedule
• Performing process troubleshooting, part inspections and various other functions to insure part conformity and quality
• Verifying paperwork for new start up jobs and oversee completion of 1st piece inspections
• Monitor, maintain and preparing support equipment i.e. thermolators, grinders, etc as needed in the production area
• Maintain and optimize "end-of-arm" robot extraction tooling
• Create and maintain an environment for a safe and healthy workforce
• Maintain housekeeping standards of assigned areas Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and organization is critical
• Operate powered vehicles
• Assisting in break coverage when needed
• Ability to fill-in as the Production Lead or Production Supervisor as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Job-related experience as a Process Technician with injection-molding equipment 3+ years.
• Injection molding training and Certification (RJG, AIM, Paulson, etc)
• Forklift certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach, and lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Strong mathematical skills
