We're partnering with a fast-growing AI technology company looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to help build, scale and optimise its cloud infrastructure.
This is a hands-on opportunity to work in a fast-paced engineering environment, taking ownership of production AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms and automation.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, improving engineering efficiency and leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building and managing multi-region AWS infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofu and Spacelift.
- Operating production Kubernetes (EKS) environments, including upgrades, autoscaling, networking and cost optimisation.
- Developing and improving CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD and GitOps practices.
- Enhancing monitoring, observability, alerting and security across the platform.
- Automating infrastructure and operational processes using Python or Go.
- Leveraging AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, to improve infrastructure development and operations.
- Supporting automated EC2 image management, patching and instance replacement where required.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering or SRE.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS and Terraform or OpenTofu in production.
- Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation and GitOps tooling.
- Proficiency in Python or Go for scripting and automation.
- Practical knowledge of AI coding agents, ideally Claude Code.
- A proactive engineer who can take ownership, solve problems and work autonomously.
- Ideally, previous experience working in a startup or scale-up environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Spacelift and ArgoCD.
- Windows fleet automation on AWS EC2.
- AWS Systems Manager (SSM), Patch Manager and EC2 Image Builder.
- Experience implementing automated AMI rebuilds and safe instance replacement.
This is an opportunity to join an innovative AI-focused business where you'll have genuine ownership and influence over its infrastructure.
You'll work with a modern cloud-native technology stack, contribute to platform reliability and scalability, and help shape how AI-assisted engineering is adopted.
If you're a hands-on Platform Engineer who enjoys building scalable AWS infrastructure and working with modern automation tools, I'd love to hear from you.
