Platform Engineer – Cloud, DevOps & Node.js

We are looking for a Platform Engineer with strong experience in cloud technologies, DevOps, and backend development using Node.js. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native platforms.

The ideal candidate has a balanced background in Platform Engineering, Cloud Architecture, DevOps/DevSecOps, APIs, microservices, and software development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms.
• Develop and support APIs, backend services, and microservices using JavaScript and Node.js.
• Create and execute cloud migration strategies, including architecture, deployment, and automation.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
• Integrate security practices into development and deployment processes.
• Deploy and manage monitoring, security, and observability solutions.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Manage and support databases such as Azure SQL and MongoDB.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
• Develop automated tests and follow Test-Driven Development practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in project planning, release management, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience working with cloud technologies.
• 5+ years of coding experience with JavaScript, HTML, or CSS.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
• Experience developing backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with cloud architecture, deployment, automation, and migration.
• Strong understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with GitHub and version control.
• Experience with Azure SQL and/or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of automated testing and Test-Driven Development.
• Experience with monitoring, security, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or Hapi.js.
• Experience with enterprise search technologies such as Elasticsearch or MongoDB Full-Text Search.
• Experience with React.
• Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience designing global, highly scalable, and highly available platforms.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical architecture.
• Experience with project and release management.
• Experience working in a scaled Agile/Scrum environment.
