We're supporting a high-profile secure government programme that requires an experienced Platform Engineer to help deliver and maintain enterprise infrastructure services across both cloud and on-premise environments.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge Azure and security technologies, supporting large-scale infrastructure modernisation, monitoring, endpoint security deployments, and hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure services
• Onboard Windows and Linux servers into Azure Arc
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Azure Monitor Agent (AMA)
• Deploy and support enterprise XDR/EDR security solutions
• Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments
• Support Azure networking technologies including VNets, NSGs, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall and Private Endpoints
• Automate operational tasks using PowerShell and Bash
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates
• Support security compliance, vulnerability remediation and platform hardening activities

Essential Skills

✅ Active DV Clearance

✅ Strong Azure administration experience

✅ Azure Arc and Azure Monitor expertise

✅ Windows Server and Linux administration

✅ XDR/EDR deployment and support experience

✅ PowerShell and Bash scripting

✅ Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs, Firewalls)

Desirable Experience

• Microsoft Defender XDR
• CrowdStrike, SentinelOne or Cortex XDR
• Terraform, Bicep or ARM Templates
• Intune or SCCM
• Defender for Cloud
• DevOps and CI/CD practices
