Platform Operation Specialist

Job Purpose:

A Platform Operation Specialist is an IT specialist who develops solutions with cloud computing strategy. This strategy incorporates cloud adoption and migration plans, cloud application solution design as well as cloud management and monitoring. Additional responsibilities include support for application team for architecture related and governance cloud environments implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain AKS clusters, ensuring security, scalability, and availability.
• Manage and maintain APIM and API inventory.
• Manage and maintain other platforms, including but not limited to Application Gateway, and Log Analytics Workspace
• Support and troubleshoot application deployments on AKS, working closely with development and DevOps teams to resolve issues related to deployments, ingress, storage, scaling, and application performance.
• Act as a technical escalation point for AKS and deployment issues, conducting root cause analysis and driving preventative improvements.
• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution, including participation in DR drills.
• Provide cloud technology expertise and leadership to help drive success in the company and cloud strategy initiatives and priorities.
• Collaborate with other departments to implement architecture changes, build a good rapport with other architects and work towards supporting them in their respective areas related to cloud technology.
• Lead solution architecture for containerized workloads and Kubernetes adoption.
• Design and implement solutions on Azure Cloud aligned with enterprise standards.
• Optimize reliability, performance, and cost across AKS and Azure services.
• Provide architectural governance, guidance, and enablement to delivery teams.
• Extend expertise to other areas such as AI services.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, etc. in a wide range of services
• Hands-on experience in designing, provisioning and operating Cloud platform (preferably Azure), on-premise, and Hybrid environments. Networking knowledge is a big plus.
• Expert in containerization technology, Docker and Kubernetes. Able to provide consultant on migration from other platforms into Kubernetes.
• Solid knowledge in Cloud Computing, Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, Microservices, and Serverless Architecture.
• Experience and knowledge in implementing API Gateway, Application Load Balancer, Relational databases, NoSQL databases, Cloud security, and API security.
• Experience in cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
• Good knowledge and experience in Cloud DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Action).
• Strong analytic skills for providing consulting on complex issues.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, and Grafana.
• Any Cloud Technology Professional Certifications is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field is preferable.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Cloud design and architecture, development, integration, deployment, automation, transition, and migration.
• Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills to manage project stakeholders.
