What they need
Come play, connect, and help children bloom
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Wildflower Wonders Play-Based Therapy | Madison, Alabama
In person 250 Sun Temple Drive, Madison, AL 35758
I opened Wildflower Wonders because I wanted children to have a place where receiving therapy could go hand in hand with being a kid—playing, making friends, exploring, and feeling like they belong.
Our RBTs help make that happen every day. We currently have 9 RBTs, all who started with us as we opened, and we are growing. Our new play gym has started construction, we have a beautiful outdoor space, and we really do consider our staff as family.
We’re looking for a Registered Behavior Technician who brings warmth, curiosity, creativity, and follow-through to their work. Someone who can join a pretend-play adventure, help a child communicate what they need, and recognize that a small moment of connection can be a big step forward.
Since opening in June 2026, we’ve seen tremendous demand from families. We’re growing thoughtfully and looking for people who want to help us build something meaningful.
What you’ll do here
You’ll provide individual ABA support under the direction of one of our two BCBAs, helping children develop communication, independence, social participation, and everyday skills.
Some moments involve focused teaching and practice. Others happen during a game, a transition, a group activity, or an attempt to make a friend. The goal is to help children use their skills in the lives they’re actually living. We do A LOT of play.
You’ll also:
- Follow each child’s treatment plan and behavior-support procedures consistently
- Collect accurate data and complete timely session documentation
- Support communication, including AAC when included in the child’s plan
- Help children participate in play, routines, and peer activities
- Collaborate with BCBAs, fellow RBTs, and our Speech and OT clinicians
- Share observations, ask questions, and put clinical feedback into practice
- Help keep therapy spaces organized, welcoming, and ready for the next adventure
Who will thrive here?
You enjoy children as people. You notice their interests, respect their communication, and want to understand what helps them feel comfortable and engaged.
You’re dependable. Our children and coworkers count on consistent support. You communicate promptly about schedule changes and take your responsibilities seriously.
You’re comfortable learning. You can ask for help, receive feedback, and follow an individualized protocol—even when another approach feels more familiar.
You can stay calm and attentive. You recognize when a child needs support, follow safety procedures, and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate team member.
You’re a teammate. You pitch in, share useful observations, and understand that thoughtful handoffs and clear communication make everyone’s day better.
What makes Wildflower Wonders different?
- Play-based, relationship-centered care
- A collaborative ABA, Speech, and OT team
- Opportunities to help children build friendships and participate alongside peers
- We create our schedules based on our staff's requirements- child pick up? Attending University classes? Your schedule flexibility may be the best part.
- A spacious clinic with room for movement, sensory exploration, and creative activities
- BCBA guidance and client-specific training
- A growing program where your observations and ideas matter
For team members pursuing BCBA certification, fieldwork supervision opportunities may be discussed separately based on availability and an individual supervision agreement.
What you’ll need
- Current RBT certification
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it before providing services
- The ability to work actively with children and follow individualized safety procedures
- Reliable attendance, clear communication, and careful documentation
Experience supporting autistic children, using AAC, or working in pediatric settings is welcome. We also value clinicians who are ready to learn and bring a thoughtful, respectful approach to their work.
