About the Role

We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and personable Children’s Play Center Team Lead to help oversee daily operations at our unique boutique, café, and children’s play space. Our facility is designed for children up to age 10 and will offer a fun, welcoming environment where families can shop, relax, play, celebrate, and create lasting memories.

The Team Lead will play an important role in creating an exceptional experience for both children and their families while helping keep the facility safe, clean, organized, and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Play Space & Child Activities

● Supervise and engage children during play and scheduled activities.

● Help create a fun, positive, and age-appropriate environment for children up to age 10.

● Assist with organizing and leading children’s activities, crafts, games, and special events.

● Monitor the play area and help ensure children follow facility safety rules.

● Interact professionally and positively with parents and caregivers.

● Address minor behavioral or customer concerns calmly and appropriately.

● Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting play environment.

Birthday Parties & Events

● Assist with planning and executing children’s birthday parties and private events.

● Prepare party areas before events and clean/reset spaces afterward.

● Help coordinate activities, games, decorations, food service, and party schedules.

● Provide exceptional customer service to birthday families and guests.

● Ensure parties stay organized, on schedule, and enjoyable for children and parents.

Café Operations

● Assist with café operations, including taking orders, preparing/serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness.

● Follow all applicable food safety and sanitation procedures.

● Keep café and dining areas clean, stocked, and welcoming.

● Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed.

Boutique & Customer Experience

● Assist customers in the boutique and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.

● Maintain merchandise displays and keep the retail area organized.

● Assist with sales transactions and basic cash-handling responsibilities.

● Help create a warm, family-friendly atmosphere throughout the entire business.

Team Leadership

● Help lead and support team members during daily operations.

● Assign tasks and help ensure employees are staying on schedule and completing responsibilities.

● Train and assist new team members as needed.

● Help communicate daily priorities and expectations to staff.

● Serve as a point of contact for employees and customers when management is unavailable.

● Help resolve operational issues and communicate important concerns to management.

● Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, positivity, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

● Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, childcare, recreation, entertainment, or a similar environment preferred.

● Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.

● Must enjoy working with children and families.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

● Dependable, responsible, and able to remain calm in a busy environment.

● Comfortable multitasking and switching between different responsibilities.

● Able to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and/or special events as needed.

● Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and remain active throughout the workday.

● CPR/First Aid certification is a plus or willingness to obtain certification.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
