Playgroup Assistant

LOOKING FOR PLAYGROUP ASSISTANT

12.75HRS PER WEEK​

MONDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY 8.45am- 1PM

*APPLICANTS MUST BE QUALIFIED TO OR AGREE TO START/ BE WORKING TOWARDS NVQ LEVEL 2 (EARLY YEARS CARE AND EDUCATION) OR EQUIVALENT.

The overall policies and procedures of the group will be laid down by the Management Committee, to whom the Playgroup Leader is responsible. The Playgroup assistant is firstly responsible to the Leader and secondly to the Management Committee.

The successful applicant will support the Playgroup Leader and team in providing a stimulating and varied programme of play and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children.

To achieve this, the successfull candidate will

• Help the leader to set out the hall as a playroom before the session commences and tidy up (and clear away if appropriate) once the session ends.
• Take part in and help with the organisation of special events, outings, visits and fundraising activities.
• Be available to attend relevant training courses (at discretion of Management Committee)
• Attend to any other duties relevant to the post.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.71 per hour
