Playgroup Assistant - Part Time, Term Time

An exciting opportunity to join St Marys Playgroup as a Playgroup Assistant - Part Time and Term Time.

I am looking for a hands-on Assistant with previous experience of working in a Playgroup/Preschool or Nursery environment only to work as part of a team to deliver exceptional service to our children and work alongside the Deputy Manager/ Manager in a vibrant, fun and stimulating setting.

You will be responsible for:

Required to set up in the morning Mon-Fri

Completing all relevant EYPS Paperwork

Working closely with parents to deliver exceptional service and environment for our children

I require a minimum Level 3 EYPS qualification and 2 Years experience gained in a Playgroup/Preschool or Nursery only.

Working hours would be between 8.30am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday during term time. We need someone who is very flexible with working hours.

Assist with set up and packing away daily

Work as part of a team is critical and someone who is engaging and supportive

Ensure that the pre-school is a safe environment for children, staff and others, equipment is safe, hygiene standards are high, and safety procedures implemented at all times.

As a key worker ensure that an accurate and up-to-date record-keeping system is kept, e.g. children's records of progress and any behavioral and development reports, any safeguarding issues and health and safety issues.

Work with children directly with SEND and be responsible for allocated key children

Provide a high quality of education and learning and offer appropriate stimulation and support to children attending the setting.

Ensure that children's welfare and safety are promoted with the setting and that any child protection concerns are always appropriately acted upon immediately.
