Position Overview

The PlaySpace Crew Member is a fun, energetic, positive, and flexible member of the Tinee Cave team. This is a rotational position, meaning team members may work in different areas throughout their shift depending on the needs of the business.

Our PlaySpace Crew Members help create a welcoming, safe, organized, and memorable experience for children and families. We are looking for individuals who enjoy being part of an active team environment and are willing to jump in wherever needed.

Experience working with children and families is a plus, but it is not required. We value individuals who are dependable, willing to learn, comfortable engaging with children and families, and ready to bring a great attitude to work.

Rotational Responsibilities May Include

Front Desk & Check-In

• Welcome members and one-time guests.
• Assist with customer and member check-in.
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
• Help families understand PlaySpace guidelines and available services.

PlaySpace Supervision

• Rotate between the infant/toddler area and bigger-kid PlaySpace.
• Actively supervise children and encourage safe, appropriate play.
• Engage and interact with children while maintaining awareness of the entire PlaySpace.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming play environment.
• Communicate concerns or safety issues to leadership immediately.

Boutique

• Assist customers with boutique purchases.
• Restock and organize merchandise.
• Help maintain attractive and orderly product displays.
• Assist with sales and customer questions.

Coffee Shop / Café Support

• May be asked to assist in the coffee shop/café as needed.
• Support café team members with basic tasks as assigned.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment.
• Provide friendly customer service to guests.
• Follow all applicable Tinee Cave café procedures, cleanliness standards, and safety requirements.

Events & Entertainment

• Assist with special events, activities, and family programming.
• Be willing to join the fun!
• Sing, dance, play, and interact enthusiastically with children.
• Participate in games, activities, and entertainment as needed.
• Be willing to dress in costume or as a character when required.

Parties

• Serve as a Party Assistant when scheduled.
• Assist with party setup, guest arrival, activities, organization, and cleanup.
• Help ensure parties run smoothly and families feel welcomed and cared for.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be willing and able to:

• Lift and carry boxes, merchandise, supplies, and event materials as needed.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, reach, move around, and remain active throughout the shift.
• Work comfortably in an active environment around infants, toddlers, and older children.

Experience & Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with children and families is a plus, but not required.
• Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, entertainment, childcare, café/food service, or event experience is a plus.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Spanish/English bilingual ability is a plus.

Uniform & Appearance

• The first required uniform will be provided by Tinee Cave.
• Team members are responsible for maintaining a clean, professional appearance and following Tinee Cave’s uniform and appearance standards while on duty.

Team Lead Opportunity

One PlaySpace Team Lead position is available.

The Team Lead will be selected based on:

• Relevant experience
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Dependability
• Positive attitude
• Communication skills
• Ability to support both guests and fellow crew members

Candidates with previous supervisory, childcare, hospitality, retail, event, or team leadership experience are encouraged to indicate their interest in the Team Lead position when applying.

Schedule & Compensation

Part-Time — $15.00 per hour

Required availability:

• Evening shifts: 2:30 PM–8:00 PM
• Additional availability may be needed based on business needs.
• Weekends, birthday parties, special events, and holidays may be required as scheduled.

This is a part-time, flexible, rotational position, and team members should be comfortable working in different areas of the business throughout their shift.
