Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Playwright Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Playwright, programming languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern software testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Automate web application testing across supported browsers.
• Develop reusable test frameworks and automation utilities.
• Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot software defects.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams.
• Execute API testing and validate application responses.
• Analyze test results and prepare automation reports.
• Maintain test scripts and improve test coverage.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and defect reviews.
• Ensure application quality, reliability, and performance.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Playwright automation testing.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with web application testing and test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of locators, assertions, waits, fixtures, and page object models.
• Knowledge of test case design, defect life cycle, and regression testing.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Familiarity with API testing and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Playwright Test Runner.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with cross-browser testing.
• Knowledge of Selenium or Cypress.
• Familiarity with Postman and API automation.
• Experience with Docker and cloud-based testing environments.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Relevant automation testing experience is preferred.
