Playwright Automation Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web and software applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver and is familiar with modern QA automation practices, test frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.

Generic Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and software applications.
• Create and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze requirements and create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Identify, document, track, and retest software defects using tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
• Execute automated and manual tests and provide clear test results and defect reports.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Maintain test data, test environments, and automation documentation.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities such as stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Continuously improve test automation coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in QA/Test Automation and with hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver
• Programming/scripting experience using JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Knowledge of Web UI testing and API testing.
• Experience with Git/version control.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, defect lifecycle, and QA processes.
