PLC Engineer

About the role

This role involves developing, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC programs for industrial machinery and automation systems. You will perform testing, commissioning, and startup of cranes, hydraulic systems, and industrial equipment to ensure proper operation, and configure PLC, HMI, and drive inverter systems during machine installation and commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for industrial machinery and automation systems
• Perform testing, commissioning, and startup of cranes, hydraulic systems, and industrial equipment to ensure proper operation
• Configure and support PLC, HMI, and drive inverter systems during machine installation and commissioning activities
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation issues to minimize downtime and improve machine performance
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical drawings for system implementation and troubleshooting
• Coordinate with engineering teams, technicians, and international colleagues to ensure projects are completed on schedule
• Support machine commissioning and functional testing to achieve quality and performance standards

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years' experience in PLC programming and industrial automation
• Experience with Siemens PLC (Step7, WinCC, TIA Portal, HMI) and Allen-Bradley PLC (Studio 5000/Logix)
• Experience in ABB and Siemens drive inverter configuration
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, electrical equipment, and electrical diagrams
• Experience in machine commissioning and troubleshooting
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Able to work effectively with multinational teams
• TOEIC 600 or above is an advantage
