PLC Engineer

Purpose of the position:

Provide solution and support to the automation projects on PLC programming and control systems. Be a part of the automation team to complement the plan and execution for the entire project.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Lead generation of aesthetically simple HMI screens for complex machinery that provide sufficient feedback for troubleshooting

2. Lead generation of PLC ladder logic with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable

3. Experience w/IOT platforms, hardware design

4. Lead projects and installations with regard to control systems for production equipment

5. Assist production in continuous process optimization of automated lines

6. Support maintenance and sustaining teams in troubleshooting difficult equipment failures

7. Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, pneumatic and various fluid plumbing

8. Develop maintenance documentation, training programs, and lead this training

9. Establish test plans and control test plan execution

10. Maintain and improve programming standards for PLC and Ignition SCADA automated systems

11. Responsibility for backing up and maintaining equipment programs

12. Debug and optimize automated processes to maximize cycle time and uptime

13. Debug and implement corrective actions for breakdowns and chronic equipment failure.

Required:

'BS/MS Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent Engineering Degree – Control Systems Engineering

English advanced

Knowledge of manufacturing capabilities for Automatic Robotic and electronics Design
