PLC Software Development Engineer

Job description

Your primary responsibility will be the full lifecycle development and management of PLC software for approximately 18 variants of industrial drying systems. You will play a key role in our system modernization effort.

• Migration and Development: Lead the migration of control systems from legacy Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) environments to Siemens TIA Portal.
• System Lifecycle: Manage the entire development process from architectural design through implementation to testing and troubleshooting.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with our internal visualization team to integrate control logic with user interfaces.
• Agile Development: Apply Scrum methodology and utilize Azure DevOps to manage tasks, version control, and sprint workflows efficiently.
• International Cooperation: Troubleshoot and innovate within a global engineering team (collaborating with colleagues in Europe and the USA).

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a collaborative engineer who is eager to innovate and comfortable navigating the technical challenges of a complex migration project.

• Experience: 3–4 years of professional experience in PLC software development.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal is a mandatory requirement.
• Key Advantage: Hands-on experience with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) automation is a major advantage and will be crucial for the migration phase of this project.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics accurately.
• Communication: Fluent English (B2+ level); you will be operating in a truly international environment where English is the primary language.
• Tooling: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git).
