PLC/CNC Sr. Software Engineer (Laser Cutting)

• Design or adapt PLC/CNC functions including tests depending on customer needs. Support R&D/Technical Service colleagues to develop and update 2D cutting CNC systems.
• Develop concepts and strategies to do system upgrades and diagnostics at customer site for a continual improvement and fast troubleshooting.
• Actively participate in first installations at customer site and provide feedback to HQ R&D.
• Performing visits to customers in order to collect inputs on the system performance and current/new needs.
• Manage support and training for internal and external customers. Job Requirement:
• Minimum Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, computer science, or similar.
• Knowledge and experience with programming PLC systems and industrial controlling software (CNC programming). Ideally, Beckhoff TwinCat 3.1 (and higher) or CODESYS v3.
• Good command of oral and written English.
• Ability to work in a team, be proactive, structured work style and ability to solve complex technical challenges.
• Accept domestic and international business trips.
• Laser cutting background is preferred.
• Experience with leading a (service) group and organizing service operations preferred.
