PLSQL Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain database applications using Oracle PL/SQL. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in database development, performance tuning, and data analysis while working closely with business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Design and optimize complex SQL queries for high performance.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Develop ETL processes and data migration scripts.
• Create and maintain database objects, indexes, and constraints.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and support deployment activities.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Oracle Database and PL/SQL development.
• Expertise in SQL query writing and optimization.
• Experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, and Cursors.
• Knowledge of Performance Tuning, Execution Plans, and Indexing.
• Understanding of Data Modeling and Database Design.
• Experience with ETL/Data Migration processes.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Forms/Reports, APEX, or SQL Developer.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Exposure to banking, insurance, retail, or finance domains.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Oracle certifications are an added advantage.
