PL/SQL Developer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a global engineering team building data-driven solutions. You will develop a strong understanding of the data, products and applications, turn requirements into proposed solutions, and build scalable, maintainable software. We want someone who cares about both what they deliver and how they deliver it.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements and fit the program's strategic direction
• Write clean, testable, performant Oracle PL/SQL, and analyse data to support design decisions
• Understand requirements, propose solutions and conduct impact assessments
• Lead application design efforts and take part in design and code reviews
• Contribute to the product quality plan, including test development and regression testing
• Deliver in an Agile environment using Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD) and CI/CD tooling
• Work with Java middleware teams to ensure applications interact effectively with the data tier
• Work with a global team of engineers to recommend and improve engineering best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years as a software engineer in a data-focused environment
• Expert Oracle PL/SQL and data analysis skills
• Clean, readable, maintainable code, with a strong grasp of modular design, object-oriented principles and sound testing practices
• Experience in Agile delivery, with exposure to CI/CD processes and tools
• Good understanding of database design concepts (transactional, ODS, data warehouse)
• Understanding of middleware Java technologies and how they interact with data
• Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica, and with scheduling tools
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
