Job Summary

Global Fluid controls Ltd are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumber to join our new domestic plumbing department.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across commercial and residential projects.

**This role might suit a self employed plumber, looking for additional work.

**Van / Tools can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances using hand tools and power tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to execute plumbing tasks accurately
• Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues such as leaks or blockages and implement effective solutions
• Use welding skills when necessary for pipe fittings or repairs requiring metal joining techniques
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repair projects
• Assist in carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations when needed
• Operate commercial vehicles for transporting materials or equipment to job sites while adhering to safety regulations
• Assemble plumbing components efficiently, ensuring all connections are secure and compliant with building codes

Skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, mechanical principles, and building codes
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, material estimates, and layout planning
• Mechanical knowledge related to pipe fitting, fixture installation, and system troubleshooting
• Experience with carpentry skills useful for framing or supporting plumbing fixtures
• Familiarity with assembly processes for various plumbing components
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required; willingness to obtain if necessary
