Plumber

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair water supply lines, including hot and cold water systems.
• Maintain sanitary and drainage systems, including toilets, sinks, wash basins, floor drains, and sewage lines.
• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, taps, faucets, flush systems, and plumbing fixtures.
• Attend to water leakage, pipe bursts, blockages, and drainage problems promptly.
• Maintain water storage tanks, pumps, pressure systems, and related equipment.
• Monitor water pressure and ensure adequate water supply to wards, operation theatres, laboratories, kitchens, CSSD, ICU, and other departments.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspection of plumbing systems.
• Respond quickly to emergency plumbing breakdowns, particularly in critical patient-care areas.
• Coordinate with the maintenance/engineering department and other hospital departments during repair work.
• Ensure plumbing work does not compromise infection-control and hygiene standards.
• Follow hospital safety procedures, work permits, and infection-prevention protocols.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance activities, material consumption, and breakdowns.
• Identify defective plumbing components and recommend their replacement.
• Assist contractors and technicians during new installations, renovations, and plumbing projects.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste materials generated during plumbing work.
• Use plumbing tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment safely.
• Keep the plumbing work area clean and restore the area after completing repairs.
• Report major defects, recurring problems, or potential risks to the supervisor/maintenance engineer.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and disaster-management activities as required.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
