Plumber

Job Requirements

Under general supervision, install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating,

water, gas, and drainage systems throughout hospital facilities as directed.

Work Experience

• Knowledge of state plumbing codes and ordinances, plumbing techniques, pipe installation, gas lines, steam lines, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work with potentially hazardous tools and power equipment, such as roto rooter, drills, hammers, saws and hilt power actuated tools, safely and effectively.
• Ability to read and follow instructions accurately, timely and effectively. Ability to read technical equipment operations manuals and blueprints.
• Effective verbal communication skills are required to work with management, other skilled tradesmen, and various hospital staff.
• Effective written communication skills are required to document equipment deficiencies.
