Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and experienced Plumber to install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, water supply lines, drainage systems, and sanitary fittings. The successful candidate will identify plumbing faults, carry out repairs, prevent water leakages, and ensure that all plumbing installations function safely and efficiently.

Job Description

• Install, maintain, and repair water supply pipes, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures.
• Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, blockages, damaged pipes, and other faults.
• Repair and replace defective pipes, taps, valves, toilets, sinks, showers, and other plumbing fittings.
• Install and maintain water heaters, water pumps, storage tanks, and related plumbing equipment.
• Clear blocked drains, sinks, toilets, and wastewater pipes using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret plumbing drawings, layouts, and installation specifications where required.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce plumbing breakdowns.
• Test plumbing installations to ensure proper water flow, pressure, drainage, and leak prevention.
• Estimate the materials, tools, and labour required for plumbing jobs.
• Maintain plumbing tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow approved procedures and comply with relevant plumbing, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and urgent maintenance requests.
• Report major faults, material shortages, and repair requirements to the supervisor.
• Maintain records of completed repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with other technicians and maintenance personnel during facility repairs or construction projects.

Requirements/Skills

• SSCE, trade certificate, technical school qualification, or relevant vocational training in plumbing.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical plumbing experience.
• Strong knowledge of water supply systems, drainage, pipe fittings, and sanitary installations.
• Ability to identify plumbing faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.
• Ability to interpret basic plumbing drawings and installation plans is an advantage.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and plumbing safety procedures.
• Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform hands-on technical tasks.
• Honesty, reliability, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies when required.

Pay: ₦80,000.00 per month
