LJS Mechanical LLC is a veteran-owned HVAC and plumbing company serving Union and Knox Counties. We are looking for a skilled, dependable Plumber who takes pride in quality workmanship, provides excellent customer service, and can confidently manage service calls independently.

This position is ideal for a plumber who can troubleshoot problems, recommend solutions, estimate needed repairs, and deliver reliable results without constant supervision.

Job Responsibilities

• Run residential plumbing service calls, diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues.

• Perform plumbing repairs, fixture installations, and system troubleshooting.

• Complete water heater replacements, installations, and related repairs.

• Repair and install drain lines, water mains, and residential water supply piping.

• Perform plumbing rough-ins, trim-outs, and other work for new construction projects.

• Install, repair, and troubleshoot residential gas piping.

• Identify plumbing issues, determine appropriate solutions, and provide customers with clear repair options and estimates.

• Explain recommended services, pricing, and necessary repairs professionally and confidently.

• Maintain accurate job notes, estimates, invoices, photos, and service records using the company CRM and other technology.

• Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding scheduling, job progress, materials, and follow-up needs.

• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and properly care for tools and equipment.

• Follow applicable plumbing codes, safety procedures, and company standards.

• Deliver consistent, high-quality workmanship while maintaining a professional appearance and positive customer experience.

Qualifications & Expectations

The ideal candidate will:

• Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.

• Have residential plumbing service experience and a strong understanding of plumbing systems.

• Work independently, manage time effectively, and complete assigned work without micromanagement.

• Take pride in consistent, quality workmanship and attention to detail.

• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

• Communicate professionally with homeowners and explain technical issues in an understandable way.

• Feel comfortable estimating repairs, recommending needed services, and identifying additional work when appropriate.

• Effectively use a CRM, mobile applications, and other job-related technology.

• Communicate proactively with dispatch and management.

• Maintain a professional, dependable, and customer-focused attitude.

• Be willing to continue learning and developing plumbing skills.

**Licensing Requirement:** Applicants who do not currently hold a Tennessee Limited Licensed Plumber (LLP) license must take and pass the required LLP examination within 90 days of employment.

Compensation & Benefits

$25–$35 per hour, plus commission.
