Paice Building Services Ltd is an established and growing building company specialising in disabled adaptations, social housing, kitchens, bathrooms, extensions and general building works across Dorset.

Due to our continued growth and increasing workload, we are looking for an experienced and reliable Self-Employed Plumber to work alongside our existing team of trades.

The Role

The role will involve a varied range of plumbing work across our residential and social housing projects, including:

• Plumbing installations for new kitchens
• Installation and alteration of radiators and heating pipework
• Plumbing works associated with new extensions
• Hot and cold-water pipework
• Waste pipework and drainage connections
• Alterations to existing plumbing systems
• Plumbing for bathrooms, kitchens and other building projects
• First-fix and second-fix plumbing
• Making alterations to plumbing as projects develop
• General plumbing repairs and remedial works
• Working alongside our carpenters, electricians, plasterers and other trades
• Ensuring all plumbing work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment

The work will be varied, and no two projects will necessarily be the same. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working on their own initiative and can work effectively as part of a wider building team.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plumber
• Good knowledge of domestic plumbing systems
• Experience with kitchen and bathroom plumbing
• Experience installing and altering radiators and heating pipework
• Ability to carry out first-fix and second-fix plumbing
• Good standard of workmanship
• Reliable and professional approach
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Own vehicle and tools
• CIS registered/approved
• Ability to travel to sites across Dorset

Desirable

Additional skills in other areas of building and maintenance would be advantageous, particularly:

• Bathroom/wetroom plumbing
• Heating systems
• General maintenance
• Basic carpentry or making-good skills
• Experience working on social housing or disabled adaptation projects
