Plumber Technician

Job Purpose

The Plumber will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing systems, water supply lines, drainage systems, sanitary fixtures, and related piping works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain water supply, drainage, sewerage, and plumbing systems.
• Install and replace pipes, fittings, valves, faucets, sanitary fixtures, water heaters, and related accessories.
• Inspect plumbing systems and identify leaks, blockages, damaged pipes, faulty valves, and other defects.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Repair or replace damaged pipes, fittings, seals, gaskets, and fixtures.
• Perform pipe cutting, threading, bending, joining, and fitting activities.
• Work with different piping materials such as PVC, CPVC, PPR, GI, copper, and other commonly used plumbing materials.
• Conduct leak testing and pressure testing of completed plumbing works.
• Clear blocked drains, pipelines, and sanitary systems.
• Install and maintain toilets, wash basins, sinks, showers, floor drains, and other sanitary fixtures.
• Read and understand plumbing drawings, layouts, and basic technical specifications.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians during installation and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work is completed according to project requirements and applicable safety procedures.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and keep tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow PPE, Permit to Work, and company HSE requirements.
• Report major defects, material requirements, and maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Complete assigned work within the required schedule.

Qualification & Experience

• ITI / Trade Certificate in Plumbing or equivalent technical qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Plumber.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, residential, facilities management, construction, or maintenance projects is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of plumbing systems, drainage systems, sanitary fittings, and piping installation.
• Ability to use plumbing hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.

Preferred Requirements

• UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of industrial and commercial plumbing systems is preferred.
• Immediate availability for mobilization is an advantage.
• Ability to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety and HSE procedures is preferred.
