Plumber Technician

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumbing Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across various commercial and residential sites. In addition to plumbing, you will also test and repair backflow devices throughout Metro New York. We test and service over 5,500 backflow devices annually.

Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings
• Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding tools to complete tasks efficiently
• Interpret blueprints and engineering plans to accurately execute plumbing installations or repairs
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate effectively with clients about system status or repair needs

Qualifications:

• 3 years general plumbing experience
• Ability to communicate well with customers
• Comfortable working with computer / tablet
• Backflow and water meter installation experience is a plus
• Experience repairing backflow devices is a plus
• NYS Certified Backflow Tester (optional)

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
