MAC Construction is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative to join our growing team, working across a range of maintenance and construction projects throughout the North West.

We are looking for someone who is genuinely multi-skilled, with strong experience in tiling and plumbing.

The role: The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of maintenance and remedial works, including:

• General plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Bathroom repairs, refurbishments and installations
• Wall and floor tiling
• Replacing damaged tiles and carrying out tile repairs
• Grouting and silicone replacement
• Plumbing repairs to taps, toilets, sinks, showers and baths
• Identifying faults and completing remedial works
• Preparing surfaces before tiling
• Making good following repairs and installations
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
• Working safely and professionally in occupied properties
• Reporting any additional works required

What we're looking for

You must be confident working independently and be able to demonstrate good experience across multiple trades.

Essential:

• Strong plumbing and tiling skills
• Previous experience within social housing/property maintenance
• Ability to complete jobs from start to finish
• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads
• Full UK driving licence
• CSCS Card

Desirable:

• Experience within social housing/property maintenance
• Experience working on reactive and planned maintenance
• Relevant trade qualifications
• Experience working within occupied properties
• Own van (not essential, as different day rates are available)

This role is particularly suited to an operative who is highly skilled in tiling and plumbing with a good understanding of social housing maintenance. Candidates must be able to work independently, provide a professional service to tenants and complete repairs to a high standard.

Pay: £160.00-£180.00 per day
