Plumbing Engineer

Location: All of London and the surrounding areas

Pay: £30,000 to £55,000 a year PAYE, depending on experience, or up to £250 a day self-employed (CIS)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break. Optional paid overtime available

About us

Super Efficient is a domestic plumbing, heating, gas and drainage contractor with 27 staff and 17 field engineers. All our gas work is on domestic appliances. Some jobs are in commercial buildings such as offices, shops and schools, but there's no commercial gas work, so you won't need commercial tickets. Our clients are letting agents, property managers, landlords and public sector clients across London. Business is growing and we need more good engineers.

The role

This is reactive maintenance, not site work. You'll go from job to job across London all day, and the office books and plans your jobs for you.

We're looking for someone who can:

• Leak detection and tracing, including trace and access
• Concealed cisterns, wall-hung, back-to-wall and freestanding toilets
• Concealed taps, thermostatic shower valves and mixer showers
• Taps, toilets, basins, baths and full bathroom fit-outs
• Vented and unvented hot water cylinders
• Shower pumps, booster pumps and macerators
• Radiators, valves and heating pipework
• Stopcocks, isolation valves, fill valves and ball valves
• Copper and plastic pipework, wastes and traps
• Washing machine, dishwasher and outside tap connections

On every job you'll:

• Make the job safe on the first visit and report what's needed
• Come back to finish the repair once the quote is approved
• Upload photos and notes through our app

What you need

• An NVQ Level 2 or 3, or at least 5 years of domestic plumbing experience
• A full UK driving licence
• Good spoken and written English, so you can explain issues to tenants and agents and write clear job reports
• Gas Safe or G3 unvented is a bonus

• Paid weekly or monthly
• You'll need at least £2m public liability insurance
