Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. You will play a crucial role in the bidding process, ensuring that all estimates are competitive and reflective of project requirements.

Duties

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to prepare accurate estimates.
• Utilize construction estimating software such as Wendes or Trimble for cost analysis and bid preparation.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for pricing.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for accurate estimates.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and labor.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, and correspondence related to bidding.

Experience

• Proven experience in Commercial Plumbing estimating or a related field is essential.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and management practices is highly desirable.
• Proficient in using estimating software such as Wendes, Trimble, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of cost control measures within the construction industry.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to ensure accuracy in pricing and estimates.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: $72,948.00 - $80,419.00 per year
