Plumbing Inspector

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed plumber to join a local government Planning & Development team and move into a regulatory, inspection and compliance-focused role while maintaining strong connection to the plumbing industry.

About the Role
You will be responsible for the administration and compliance of plumbing and drainage work across the region, including:

• Conducting plumbing and drainage inspections and assessments
• Reviewing work for compliance with relevant legislation, standards and requirements
• Identifying and managing non-compliant plumbing work
• Providing technical advice and guidance to plumbers, builders, property owners and other stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate inspection, assessment and compliance records
• Building positive relationships through strong communication, customer service and negotiation

About You

• A current Plumbers and Drainers Licence is essential
• Solid experience working in the plumbing industry
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and drainage practices and relevant requirements
• Excellent communication, customer service and negotiation skills
• The confidence to conduct inspections and address compliance issues professionally
• Strong attention to detail and written documentation skills
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
