Plumber Helper – Job Description

Position Overview:
The Plumber Helper supports licensed plumbers and gas fitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and light industrial projects. This role involves assisting with job preparation, material handling, basic installations, and ensuring safe and efficient worksite operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist plumbers in assembling, installing, and repairing water, drainage, and gas piping systems.
• Prepare tools, materials, and equipment needed for each job.
• Cut, measure, and thread pipe; clean and organize the work area.
• Support the setup and breakdown of job sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Help with testing systems for leaks and proper function.
• Load and unload materials and maintain company vehicles and equipment.
• Follow directions from licensed plumbers and adhere to company policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous plumbing or construction experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor).
• Basic understanding of plumbing tools and safety procedures.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn the trade.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
