Lead an established trade team and take ownership of commercial plumbing project delivery.
We’re working with an established New Zealand trade services business delivering plumbing, drainage, gasfitting, roofing and specialist construction services. With a strong reputation for quality workmanship and dependable service, they are seeking an experienced Plumbing Manager to lead their regional plumbing operation.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you’ll lead a team of plumbers, drainlayers and gasfitters, supported by an experienced Project Manager.

Your day will generally begin with a 7:30am team huddle before moving into paperwork, ordering, client calls and site visits.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and resourcing commercial plumbing projects
• Procurement
• Managing programmes, costs, margins and variations
• Monitoring quality, compliance and health and safety
• Conducting site inspections and audits
• Providing technical support to the team
• Leading, mentoring and developing tradespeople and apprentices
• Maintaining strong client, supplier and contractor relationships
• Keeping project documentation accurate and current
• Certifying work

You’ll bring:

• Strong commercial plumbing experience
• Current Certifying Plumber registration is preferred
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Sound project and commercial management skills
• A calm, confident and practical leadership style
• Strong client communication and problem-solving ability
• A full New Zealand driver licence

This is a salaried role based on approximately 45 hours per week.
