Role

The Plumbing MTO Engineer is responsible for preparing quantity estimations and material take-offs for plumbing and drainage systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Review plumbing and drainage drawings.
• Prepare MTOs for pipes, fittings, fixtures, valves, pumps, tanks, and accessories.
• Develop BOQs and quantity summaries.
• Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams.
• Track material requirements throughout project execution.
• Prepare quantity variation reports.
• Ensure accurate estimation and documentation.
• Support material planning activities.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist in tendering and budgeting exercises.
• Participate in coordination meetings.
• Support material reconciliation and cost control.
• Maintain project quantity records.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 3 to 8 years of experience in Plumbing MTO and quantity estimation.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, AutoCAD, and Excel.

Software

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Navisworks, Excel, and electrical estimation tools.
