Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman to join our hospitality team. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate equipment and chemical agents to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Handle cleaning tasks across various hotel areas, including guest rooms, hallways, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners efficiently and safely.
• Manage chemical handling procedures in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols to ensure safe usage.
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment moving.
• Support hotel housekeeping management by ensuring sanitation standards are consistently met and maintained.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or inquiries related to cleanliness or facility maintenance, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary, ensuring safety for guests and staff at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or custodial services within a hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning practices.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and other janitorial tools.
• Physical ability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Experience with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is preferred.
• Previous hotel experience or hospitality background is highly desirable.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
