PM / PMO (Banking industry)

About the role

A PMO role supporting Senior Directors and other managers in delivering IT consulting services to Japanese mega banks and various financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify client issues, develop proposals based on IT solutions, and conduct related consulting activities
• Manage project progress and issues, and prepare reports or other project deliverables based on the assigned role
• Analyze business processes, develop business requirements, and produce related specifications according to the project role

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred
• Project management certifications, such as PMP, are preferred
• PMO experience supporting Banking initiatives, with exposure to core banking domains such as deposits, loans, remittances, and trade finance
• Investment banking or wealth management project experience is welcomed
• 3+ years of experience in IT consulting or related fields
• 3+ years of experience managing and driving system implementation projects as a PMO
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability or willingness to engage with clients to identify issues, propose solutions, and persuade stakeholders
• Strong documentation skills, particularly in preparing project management deliverables
