PMC Engineer / Production Planner (Material Control & Planning)

About the role This is a Production Planning and Material Control (PMC) role responsible for mastering and executing Master Production Schedules (MPS) and Daily/Weekly Capacity Plans based on sales forecasts and firm customer orders. You will monitor shop floor daily progress, resolve production bottlenecks, and dynamically adjust schedules to ensure on-time delivery. You will also perform Material Requirements Planning (MRP) analysis, control inventory levels, and act as a communication bridge across Sales, Engineering, Warehouse, and Production departments.

Key responsibilities

• Master and execute Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Daily/Weekly Capacity Plans based on sales forecasts and firm customer orders
• Monitor shop floor daily progress and resolve production bottlenecks with section heads
• Dynamically adjust schedules to ensure on-time delivery (OTD ≥ 96%)
• Perform MRP (Material Requirements Planning) analysis and calculate raw material and packaging needs
• Collaborate with Procurement to follow up on material arrival schedules
• Control inventory levels and set safety stock targets
• Analyze slow-moving and obsolete stock and drive actions to reduce material holding costs
• Act as communication bridge among Sales, Engineering, Warehouse, and Production to handle order revisions or urgent order pushes
• Monitor production lead times and track material shortage risks
• Issue PMC key metrics (KPI) reporting periodically

About you

• Minimum 2–3+ years of PMC, Production Planning, or Material Control experience in manufacturing
• Highly proficient in ERP / MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Kingdee, YonSuite, or in-house systems) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material lead times, and capacity calculation logic
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong numerical sense, stress resistance, and rapid decision-making ability
