Department: Project Management Office (PMO)

Location: Jordan (Regional Scope)

Position Summary The Regional PMO Governance Lead is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the PMO governance framework across all regional projects. The role ensures consistent implementation of project management methodologies, governance policies, standards, and quality controls while monitoring compliance and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

This position serves as the custodian of PMO governance, partnering with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to enhance project delivery maturity, standardization, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities PMO Governance

• Develop and maintain the PMO governance framework, methodologies, policies, SOPs, standards, and templates.
• Standardize project management practices across all regions and business units.
• Ensure governance processes remain aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
• Governance Compliance & Quality
• Monitor compliance with PMO policies, project lifecycle, stage gates, and governance requirements across all projects.
• Conduct governance reviews, project health checks, and periodic audits to assess process adherence and documentation quality.
• Identify governance gaps, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on their implementation.

Process Improvement

• Continuously enhance PMO processes, templates, reporting standards, and governance controls.
• Drive process optimization initiatives and promote best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
• Support organizational quality initiatives, including ISO compliance and internal audits.

Reporting & Performance

• Define and monitor PMO governance KPIs.
• Prepare governance dashboards, compliance reports, and executive summaries for PMO leadership.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve project performance and governance maturity.

Knowledge Management & Training

• Maintain the PMO knowledge repository, including policies, procedures, templates, and standards.
• Deliver governance awareness sessions and support onboarding of Project Managers and PMO staff on PMO methodologies and processes.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Project Managers, Delivery, BA, QA, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent governance implementation across all regional projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Master's degree is an advantage.

Preferred Certifications

• PMP (Required)
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor is an advantage.

Experience

• 3-7 years of experience in Project Management or PMO.
• Proven experience in developing governance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and project management standards.
• Experience in project audits, governance compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience in technology, software delivery, AI, or digital transformation projects is highly desirable.
