Podcast Host (Urdu) / On-Camera Presenter

Podcast Host (Urdu), Baatcheet

Baatcheet is a new Urdu conversation podcast about everyday life: loneliness, family pressure, work, relationships and the things people rarely say aloud. The format is unscripted, respectful and guest-first. We record in our own studio room and publish full episodes on YouTube and short clips on TikTok, Instagram and Shorts.

We are looking for a warm, curious host who can make strangers feel safe enough to talk.

What you will do

• Host and record 15 episodes per month, about 3 to 4 a week.
• Hold a short pre-interview call with each guest before recording.
• Prepare questions with our producer. You choose the follow-ups on the day.
• Follow our consent and safety protocol with every guest.
• Review edits and clip selections with guests before publishing.
• Record intros, outros and short promo clips for social media.
• Take part in planning episode themes and guest lists.

What we are looking for

• Fluent Urdu. Comfortable switching to Punjabi or English where natural.
• Confident and natural on camera. Hosting, presenting, acting, radio or content-creation experience is welcome, but a strong audition matters more than a CV.
• An excellent listener. Calm, empathetic, and comfortable with silence.
• Emotional maturity with sensitive topics, and the ability to keep boundaries.
• Interest in Urdu literature, poetry and culture is a plus.
• Reliable and organised, able to work from our studio in Rawalpindi / Islamabad on recording days.

What this role is not

Baatcheet is a conversation show, not counselling or treatment. The host does not give medical or psychological advice and is never expected to.

What we offer

• Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 per month, depending on experience.
• A ready, professionally set studio room, camera and audio equipment.
• A clear consent and safety protocol for every episode and guest.
• Real creative input in a new show at the start of its growth.

How to apply

Send a 2-minute video introducing yourself in Urdu. In the video, say which three questions you would ask a stranger about a hard week in their life, and why. Add links to any past hosting or content work.

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
