Podcast Video Editor

We are looking for a skilled and creative Podcast Video Editor to support the EDUCATE ME Podcast.

The editor will be responsible for transforming raw podcast footage recorded from three different camera angles/POVs into professional long-form podcast episodes and engaging short-form content for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit full-length podcast episodes for YouTube using footage from 3 camera angles/POVs

• Synchronize video and audio from multiple sources and switch naturally between camera angles

• Create and edit a professional podcast intro and outro

• Identify engaging moments from full episodes and turn them into *YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok videos*

• Create vertical 9:16 short-form content optimized for social media

• Add captions/subtitles, B-roll, titles, speaker names, graphics, zooms, transitions, and other visual elements where appropriate

• Clean and enhance audio for clear, professional sound

• Perform basic color correction and maintain visual consistency

• Maintain consistent EDUCATE ME Podcast branding across all content

• Export videos in the appropriate formats and resolutions for each platform

• Deliver projects on time and incorporate feedback and revisions

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film, Video Production, Digital Media, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field is preferred

• Previous experience editing podcasts, interviews, YouTube videos, or other long-form content

• Experience with multi-camera editing and synchronizing multiple video and audio sources

• Proficiency in iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar professional editing software

• Experience creating TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts

• Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and selecting engaging moments from longer content

• Ability to create clean and accurate captions/subtitles

• Basic knowledge of audio enhancement and color correction

• Good understanding of current social media video formats and editing styles

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent branding

• Ability to understand and incorporate feedback

• Reliable and able to meet agreed deadlines and turnaround times

- Portfolio/examples of previous work are required

Previous experience editing multi-camera podcasts is strongly preferred.
