Job Summary

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive foot and ankle examinations, utilizing medical terminology accurately to document findings
• Diagnose and treat various podiatric conditions such as infections, deformities, injuries, and chronic ailments
• Administer medications responsibly, including pain management therapies and topical treatments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using electronic health record systems like Epic and Cerner for seamless patient data collection and management
• Perform surgical procedures when necessary, adhering to strict safety protocols and best practices
• Provide patient education on foot health, injury prevention, and post-treatment care plans
• Participate in research initiatives to stay current with advancements in podiatric medicine and contribute to evidence-based practices

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Podiatrist with active certification to practice medicine in relevant settings
• Hospital experience demonstrating familiarity with acute care environments and emergency procedures
• Experience in pain management techniques specific to foot and ankle conditions
• Background in pediatrics for treating pediatric patients with foot-related issues
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and clinical documentation standards
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient data collection and patient tracking
• Experience in home care settings is preferred, showcasing adaptability across diverse patient environments
• Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs
