Podiatrist

Duties:

• Conduct physical examinations and diagnose foot and ankle conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
• Perform surgical procedures on the foot and ankle
• Prescribe medications and recommend orthotic devices
• Provide primary care for foot-related issues
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in podiatry through clinical research

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited college of podiatric medicine
• Completion of a residency program in podiatric medicine and surgery
• State licensure to practice as a podiatrist
• Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
• Strong knowledge of foot and ankle anatomy, physiology, and pathology
• Experience in performing surgical procedures on the foot and ankle
• Familiarity with clinical research methodologies
