Role Description

The Policy Management and Quality Assurance (PMQA) Associate is responsible for the processing of accounts from placement, booking to billing/transmittal. They need to ensure that all transactions are complete and compliant before proceeding to and completing each step. Upon performing their task, they need to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address should there be policy-related issues. Reporting to their respective PMQA Officer/Supervisor, the Associate contributes to upholding Unicon’s standards of excellence in the policy management and client service.

This is a full-time hybrid position suited for someone who is organized, communicative, and comfortable working with policies and insurance data.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Placement

• Review all placement requests for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation before endorsing them to the appropriate insurance providers.
• Validate client and policy information against the signed proposal, placement slip, and the terms and rates agreed upon with the insurer.
• Monitor requests to ensure they are processed within the established turnaround time (TAT) and follow up with insurers to secure the requested policies within the required timeline.

Booking

• Carefully review policies received from insurers and verify that all details are consistent with the submitted placement slip and agreed coverage.
• Confirm that the assured has completed the required KYC verification prior to processing the booking.
• Ensure all policy and account information is accurately recorded in the system and that accounts scheduled for the current month are properly processed and booked.
• Organize and update the client’s account files by ensuring that all relevant documents received during the booking process are properly filed and maintained.

Invoicing, Billing & Transmittal

• Conduct a thorough review of billing and transmittal details prior to approval by the PMQA Officer, Supervisor, or designated PMQA Associate.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of all information before approving and releasing billing documents.
• Ensure invoices, billing documents, and transmittals are sent to the appropriate and authorized recipients within the established TAT.
• Coordinate timely document release to support the Collection Team’s follow-up and collection activities.

Qualifications

• A graduate of any 4-year course but with preference in Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in insurance related field.
• Familiarity in various insurance lines.
• Proficiency in using policy management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance standards is preferred.
