Polishing Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform metal surface finishing including polishing, deburring, grinding, and lapping on precision machined components with minimal supervision.
• Carry out electropolishing and passivation processes in accordance with established procedures and quality requirements.
• Execute TIG welding and basic fabrication for small and precision parts, ensuring consistent weld quality.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications accurately.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using measuring tools (e.g., vernier caliper, micrometer).
• Ensure all parts meet surface finish, cleanliness, and dimensional standards.
• Troubleshoot minor process or quality issues and report abnormalities when required.
• Maintain proper machine handling, tool care, and workplace safety practices.
• Support production targets and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in surface finishing, polishing, or TIG welding.
• Experience in CNC machining or precision engineering environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Familiar with basic measuring tools (e.g., vernier caliper, micrometer).
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
