Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing in various neighborhoods to inform residents about political campaigns or initiatives
• Engage in face-to-face conversations, utilizing strong communication skills to explain key messages clearly and persuasively
• Use mobile devices to record interactions, update voter information, and track outreach progress efficiently
• Promote community involvement through personalized outreach and active listening to residents’ concerns and feedback
• Assist with fundraising efforts by encouraging support and donations from community members
• Coordinate with team members to strategize outreach plans and maximize campaign impact
• Represent the organization professionally during outdoor work, demonstrating enthusiasm and respect for diverse communities

Qualifications

• Prior field sales or canvassing experience is highly preferred, especially in outdoor or door-to-door environments
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage in conversational dialogue and negotiate effectively
• Experience in community engagement, customer service, or telemarketing is advantageous
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling effective communication with diverse populations
• Demonstrated ability to work independently outdoors while maintaining energy and motivation throughout the day
• Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team
• Knowledge of marketing strategies, fundraising techniques, and community outreach methods is desirable
