About the role

Suzuki Philippines Inc. is seeking a Waste Water Treatment & Compliance Specialist/Assistant PCO (Laguna-based) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is based in Calabarzon & Mimaropa, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining efficient waste water treatment operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's waste water treatment facilities
2. Monitor and analyse water quality data to ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations
3. Develop and implement strategies to optimise the performance of the waste water treatment systems
4. Prepare and submit all necessary environmental reports and documentation to regulatory authorities
5. Provide technical guidance and support to the production team on waste water management practices
6. Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders on environmental compliance matters
7. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
8. Assist the Plant Compliance Officer (PCO) in managing the company's overall environmental compliance program

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in waste water treatment operations and environmental compliance. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

3. With knowledge in waste water treatment processes, water quality analysis, and environmental regulations

4. Proficient in using water treatment and environmental monitoring software and equipment

5. Experience with SCADA systems, water quality monitoring equipment, and environmental data management software (e.g., LIMS, Excel for data analysis)

6. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives

8. Effective communication and report writing skills

9. Knowledge of ISO 14001 and other relevant environmental management standards

10. Familiarity with DENR regulations, DAO requirements, and Philippine Clean Water Act
