Pollution Control Officer

• Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, permits, and project requirements.
• Implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan and pollution control measures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify environmental risks or non-compliance.
• Monitor proper handling, storage, and disposal of construction and hazardous wastes.
• Monitor dust, noise, wastewater, erosion, and other potential pollution sources.
• Maintain environmental records, permits, monitoring results, and compliance reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and the Project Manager on environmental matters.
• Conduct environmental awareness briefings and toolbox meetings.
• Report environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with government inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring activities.
• Perform other environmental duties as required by the project.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be a qualified/certified Pollution Control Officer (PCO) in accordance with applicable Philippine regulations.
• Experience in construction, renewable energy, solar farm, infrastructure, or similar projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of Philippine environmental laws, DENR requirements, and compliance procedures.
• Experience in environmental monitoring, waste management, pollution control, and regulatory reporting.
• Good communication, coordination, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Willing to work on-site and conduct regular field inspections.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams and contractors.
