Pollution Control Officer

• Responsible in all Government requirements pertaining to Pollution Control
• Monitor machine operation permits.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations, including air, water, and waste management laws.
• Monitor report on pollution and permit (air and water), environment health and safety and make recommendations.
• Supervise the day-to-day operation of wastewater treatment facility and boiler, ensuring that all parameters are within the standard.
• Secure and maintain necessary environmental permits and licenses.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies are required. (SMR, CMR, DOE)
• Regularly inspect facilities, industries, and construction sites to ensure they comply with environmental laws and pollution control standards.
• Collect and analyze environmental data (e.g., air and water quality), prepare reports on pollution levels, and document findings for regulatory purposes.
• Oversee proper disposal and treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste to prevent environmental contamination.

Job qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of Mechanical/Electrical/ Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year work experience as PCO in a manufacturing firm.
• A strong understanding of local, state, and national environmental laws and regulations is essential, including knowledge of air, water, and waste management laws.
• Strong ability to analyze environmental data, identify potential pollution risks, and develop effective solutions
• Must have a good oral and communication skills and good planning and organizing skills.
• Must have good interpersonal relations skills.
• Must have knowledge on government requiremenrs on environment.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations related to environmental protection.
