Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor pollution control programs aligned with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Job Overview:

The Pollution Control Officer (PCO) is responsible for implementing and maintaining environmental management systems in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The PCO ensures that the company’s waste management operations minimize environmental impact, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote sustainability practices.

• Ensure compliance with all environmental laws, regulations, and permits related to waste management, air quality, water quality, and hazardous materials.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of waste processing and disposal operations to identify, assess, and mitigate environmental risks.
• Coordinate waste sampling, testing, and proper documentation for regulatory reporting.
• Prepare and submit required environmental compliance reports to government agencies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities on all environmental matters.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for pollution prevention, waste segregation, and emergency response.
• Investigate environmental incidents, spills, or violations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations, emerging issues, and best practices in pollution control and waste management.
• Support the company’s sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (required).
• Certification as a Pollution Control Officer or equivalent (preferred).
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards in waste management.
• Experience in ISO, environmental compliance, monitoring, or waste management operations (preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month

• PCO with ISO: 3 years (Required)
