Pollution Control Officer

* Ensure adherence to local and national environmental regulations by continuously monitoring legal requirements and by preparing and submitting all necessary environmental permits and compliance.

* Oversee environmental performance by carrying out routine inspections of facilities and operations, tracking air emissions, waste water is charges, noise levels, and hazardous waste management, and maintaining accurate environmental monitoring records.

* Develop and execute environmental programs by formulating environmental management plans, implementing waste minimization, recycling and pollution prevention initiatives and promoting energy efficiency and responsible resource conservation practices.

* Carry out risk assessment and control by identifying operational environmental risks, recommending appropriate corrective and preventive actions and developing emergency response procedures to address environmental incidents.

* Manage liaison and coordination efforts by serving as the primary contact between the organization and regulatory agencies, facilitating environmental audits and inspections and addressing complaints related to environmental audits.

* Promote continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to pollution control equipment, keeping up to date with environmental regulations and industry best practices and conducting internal environmental audits.
